According to the World Health Organisation, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide, claiming the lives of hundreds of thousands of women each year and affecting countries at all levels of modernization.
Every year, Egyptian women are exposed to many breast cancer awareness campaigns, that intend to educate women about the disease and the importance of early screening.
93% of the Egyptian women heard of breast cancer campaigns in Cairo, but are these campaigns effective enough to call for an action?
We took a random sample of 100 Egyptian females, aged 35 and above, and tested their response to any of the well-known breast cancer campaigns
